Fun at Bowling and Darts for Adult Burn Survivors

Dan’s Fund For Burns hosted an adult burn survivor day out in London on Saturday 2 August 2025.

Nearly 30 burn survivors and volunteers gathered in Hyde Park for a picnic, followed by an afternoon of fun at Queen’s Bowl and Ice at Bayswater.   A chance to meet other burn survivors in a relaxed setting and get a little competitive over some bowling and interactive darts.  Some light refreshments and drinks were enjoyed and new friends made.  Congratulations to Ellie for winning the bowls but it was the taking part and laughter that was the best part – everyone managed the activities brilliantly.  Thanks to all those who came and enjoyed the day.

Dan’s Fund For Burns hosted an adult burn survivor day out in London on Saturday 2 August 2025.  The weather cooperated so we were able to start our day off with a picnic at 11am in Hyde Park which set the mood for a nice, relaxed fun day!  We did the short walk from Hyde Park to Queens Bayswater London where we had booked a private area for some bowling and a meal followed by some interactive darts.   When the activities ended at 4pm, we moved over to the bar area for some socialising and more chat.

It was great to see burn survivors meet and connect with each other.  Lots of laughs and everyone managed the activities brilliantly.  Big shout out to our volunteers, Jenny, Paul, Greg, Emma and Elaine who helped Polly and Jennifer on the day and thanks to Joint Operations who helped sponsor the event.
