Dan’s Fund sends nine burn professionals from around the UK to train at the British Association of Skin Camouflage

An intensive three day training course by BASC in Cheshire

Dan’s Fund was delighted to sponsor the attendance and travel and hotel costs for nine burns professionals from around the United Kingdom to train up in skin camouflage technique. These skills will be transferred back to their centres and used on patients.

Thanks to BASC (The British Association of Skin Camouflage) for this training and we are delighted to have funded the kits that the Ladies have taken back to their burn centres too.

Weekend away for Adult Burn Survivors

The weekend offered a break for Adult Burn Survivors in the historic city of Oxford.

Around 50 individuals attended and, from all accounts, everyone had a great time, including an evening Quiz, interesting talks on the Saturday, yoga and swimming opportunities, a walking tour of Oxford, and more.

The weekend was designed to provide a break allowing everyone the opportunity to meet and share experiences, and to participate in the various activities.
