Polly Brooks, our founder was delighted to receive her MBE, 18 months after it was awarded!
On a bright and blustery October day, Polly and her Mother were invited to the Queen’s private apartments at Windsor Castle for the Awards ceremony.
With strict social distancing procedures in place, it was an intimate affair and Polly was thrilled to have Princess Anne give her the award.
Princess Anne was most interested to hear about the work of Dan’s Fund For Burns and as we know, is incredibly involved in charitable works herself.
After the ceremony, Polly and her Mother met up with family and friends. They were all then able to have a celebratory lunch with Joy Huston, who helped run the charity for many years, at The Christopher Wren Hotel by the river.
