It’s been a busy summer with a Burn Survivor Day out in August and a Scar therapy massage and skin camouflage day in September, in London. We shortly head to Dubai with our Bali Legends rugby team and are working on filling three golf days next year – Swinley Forest (5th May), Sunningdale Heath (15th May) and Woking GC (26th June). What a week we had down in Brighton at the British Burns Association Conference. The conference was packed full of interesting conversations and Dan’s Fund were delighted to have their own stand for the first time, kindly sponsored by Moor Instruments Ltd.
On Friday 20th June, Ian Easton, a burn survivor and Dan’s Fund befriender climbed up and down the Miners Track & Pyg route of(Mount Snowdon) with Jennifer, Polly and a group of his colleagues from Coconut Marketing.
On Thursday 9th Jan 2025, some OTs, Nurses and Prostheists specialists from Burn Services in Preston, Birmingham, Chelmsford and Bristol trained up in Skin Camouflage techniques at The Finishing Touches Group clinic in Haywards Heath.
They have also been given a starter kit to kick start their service or replace out of date items.
The course was an online and in person course designed in conjunction with Dan’s Fund For Burns and NHS professionals.

This is giant step forward in improving this important service to burn survivors across the UK and we will be launching another course late June for other Adult Burns NHS staff.
